ارزیابی توانمندسازی زنان در زمینه تولید زعفران در افغانستان

این مطالعه با استفاده از آمار توصیفی و شاخص خلاصه‌شده توانمندسازی زنان در کشاورزی (A-WEAI)، تأثیر تولید زعفران بر توانمندسازی زنان در افغانستان را ارزیابی می‌کند. در افغانستان، زنان ۸۰٪ از وظایف مربوط به تولید زعفران را بر عهده دارند و به عنوان نیروی کار اصلی محسوب می‌شوند. این مطالعه بینش‌هایی در مورد تولید زعفران در افغانستان ارائه می‌دهد و عوامل کلیدی مؤثر در توانمندسازی از جمله “تخصیص زمان” و “کنترل بر استفاده از درآمد” برای زنان و “کنترل بر استفاده از درآمد” برای مردان را شناسایی می‌کند. یافته‌های این مطالعه بر نیاز به مداخلات هدفمند در مناطقی که توانمندسازی ناکافی است برای افزایش توانمندسازی در صنعت زعفران افغانستان تأکید دارد.

This study evaluates the impact of saffron production on women’s empowerment in Afghanistan, employing descriptive statistics and the Abbreviated-Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index. In Afghanistan, women undertake 80% of tasks related to saffron production, positioning them as a primary workforce. The study provides insights into saffron production in Afghanistan and identifies key contributors to the empowerment, including “Time allocation” and “Control over the use of income” for women, and “Control over the use of income” for men. This study’s findings underscore the need for targeted interventions in areas where empowerment is insufficient to enhance empowerment within the Afghan saffron industry.
