این مرور نظام‌مند به ارزیابی اثر زعفران و اجزای آن (کروسین، کروستین، سافرانال، پیکروکروسین) بر سرطان پستان در مطالعات پیش‌بالینی می‌پردازد. مکانیسم‌ها شامل القای آپوپتوز، توقف چرخه سلولی، اثرات ضدالتهابی و ضد رگزایی است. کروسین امیدوارکننده‌ترین نتایج را نشان داد.
This systematic review evaluates the efficacy of saffron and its constituents (crocin, crocetin, safranal, picrocrocin) against breast cancer in preclinical studies. Mechanisms include apoptosis induction, cell cycle arrest, anti-inflammatory, and anti-angiogenic effects. Crocin showed the most promising results.
