“گلرنگ (Carthamus tinctorius L.) یک گیاه علفی یکساله با سازگاری بالا به مناطق خشک است. این مطالعه اطلاعات بهروزی در مورد مناطق استفاده از گیاه گلرنگ، اهمیت اقتصادی و اهداف بهنژادی آن ارائه میدهد. از گلرنگ در تغذیه به عنوان روغن پختوپز و سبزی برگی، در پزشکی برای درمان بیماریهای قلبی-عروقی و التهاب، و در صنعت به عنوان رنگریزه استفاده میشود. دانههای آن حاوی ۴۰-۳۵٪ روغن و ۲۰٪ پروتئین هستند و روغن آن غنی از اسید لینولئیک (۷۷٪) است. این گیاه به دلیل فیتوشیمیاییهایی مانند کینوکالکونها و فلاونوئیدها دارای فعالیت بیولوژیکی بالایی است.”
“Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is an herbaceous annual plant with high adaptation to arid areas. This study provides up-to-date information about the usage areas of safflower plant, its economic importance and breeding purposes. Safflower is used in nutrition as cooking oil and leafy vegetable, in medicine for treating cardiovascular diseases and inflammation, and in industry as dyes. The seeds contain 35-40% oil and 20% protein, with the oil being richest in linoleic acid (77%). The plant has high biological activity due to phytochemicals like quinochalcones and flavonoids.”
